About Southside
About Southside
MODEL: YOB7
The York Olympic Barbell is built with durability and performance in mind, and it shows in both the feel and finish of the bar. The coating is designed to resist rust, scratching, and chipping, so it keeps its clean look even after heavy, repeated use. The closed end caps also keep everything tight and low maintenance, so you’re not constantly worrying about adjustments or wear.
In training, the York Barbell fits easily into both strength and Olympic lifting work. It performs well during heavy compound lifts like squats, deadlifts, and bench press, where stability and control matter most, but it really stands out in explosive movements like cleans, snatches, and push presses thanks to its smooth sleeve rotation. That consistent spin helps reduce strain on the wrists and keeps the bar path more natural, especially when the weight gets heavier. It’s a bar that suits serious lifters building long-term strength, but it also works well for anyone wanting reliable, high-quality equipment that can handle regular, intense training without breaking down over time.
